Kabuki-za. Theater to be experienced. [Please don't YouTube it, there is no equal].

Kabukiza. These pictures with the exception of my styling' in front of the theater are courtesy of (discover-indo.tierranet.com/japanart003b.htm).  My indoor pictures were not as compelling. It is the most amazing experience. Each booking last 3 hours and takes the audience through two shows with a 30 minutes intermission. Absolutely breathtaking! and emotional for me as it was the first and only time in 8 months that I had seen my love shed a warm and gently tear at the corner of his eye. The scene was that of a young child leaving his family in servitude to a Samurai. The elegance of the plays are highlighted by the amazing make-up and incredible costumes. Lastly the theater rents earpieces ($10.00) for the duration of the show, so that foreigners can ear the play in English.

Both women and men were dressed so sharply and beautifully! My love looked so sharp as well. I on the other showed up in jeans, crocs and very colorful top. I don't know why I did not look more presentable. The experience was a complete delight! Do dress nicely and bring lots of yen. The 'gift stores' inside the theater encompass a maham of foods, cards, purses, fans and so much more!
And here I am! Hurry up and catch more shows. According to amor, the theater will be closing down at the end of the year for a 3 three year renovation project. I will come back ready for my heart to be moved again by this amazing experience. Thank you my love for this incredible treat. Oooh keep an eye out for the bento box, that was my treat at intermission. The best food in the world!
